Day 7 9/19 Back to Epcot

Today we are heading back to Epcot to see the things that we missed and redo some of our favs. Ron is still not feeling really well so he decides to stay in bed and will catch up with us later. So we hop on the bus and are off to Epcot. Kids must text thier peeps to let them know whats up!

First stop “Club Cool”. This is a really neat place where you can sample different soft drinks from around the world. Some are tasty and some not so much. I had been forewarned about a Beverage called Beverly from Italy, it is quite bitter and nasty. The kids however did not know and drank up! Man I wish I had my camera ready for that!

We did manage to try it on an unsuspecting mom…here is her Yuk face. Mike had to have a “bottle” of coke. They are insulated alum cans shaped like bottles and Breanne got some cola flavored chapstick.

Then we went on to The Seas for a visit with Nemo and Friends.
We wound our way through the queue for this ride and really enjoyed the beachy scenery.

Soon we approached the moving walkway OH JOY! I knew this was going to be an adventure getting my mom onto after some struggle she managed to step on, we boarded our "clam-mobiles" and were off to sea with Nemo. This ride was cute. That’s about it. After Nemo we watched Turtle Talk with Crush and then walked around the aquarium for a while enjoying the animals.

When we left Epcot the last time we had only made it about ½ way around the world showcase so we decided to start at the other end and work back to where we had left off. So off to Mexico we went. I got a call from Ron he was feeling better and on the bus over to Epcot. He would meet us at the Mexico Pavilion. This is a really beautiful Pavilion. The outside modeled after an Aztec Temple of Quetzalcoatl (the god of life) at Teotihuacan. The inside looks like a Mexican village at night. There is tons of Mexican crafts and the wood carving are amazing…. Expensive too! We took the Grand Fiesta tour, which is a boat ride featuring Donald Duck and friends. We walked around the pavilion and enjoyed that crafts and atmosphere then we decided it was margarita time! Believe me by this point in the trip, I was need all the alcohol I could get!

After a refreshing drink and snacks, we had Margaritas and the kids had sodas and Churros, we headed off to Norway! 1st up Maelstrom! This is a fun boat ride where you travel back in time to days of Norway past. Mom tired of maneuvering in and out of boats etc. so she sat this one out.

After the boat ride we played around in the gift shop and had our turn at being Vikings! Scary aren’t they! Then Ron wanted to sample one of the Norwegian beers and I had to have one of the yummy looking cream filled pastries. After a potty break we moved on to China.

This place is spectacular. The shops were filled was amazing trinkets and the building were just amazing. We spent A LOT of time wandering the gift shops and looking at everything. In the center of the Pavilion we caught the end of a pretty cool acrobat show. It was now starting to get later in the day and Ron and the kids wanted to try to get on some rides before they closed down.
So we parted ways. They went to ride Test Track and Mission Space and Mom and I continued around the World Showcase. Stopping at Italy for a lovely glass of sparkling pink champagne! We all met back up in front of the world showcase and because everyone was tired decided to call it a night and head back to POP and have our dinner at the food court there.
