Scooter Fun!

Ron has been working on getting my moms scooter fixed. The switch had gone bad and the batteries were not charging. So after several hours of dinkering with the thing he did some rewiring and was able to get the scooter working again. Yipee! Of course this mean TEST DRIVE right. Heck ya!

Boys will be boys. He sure was having fun making sure it "worked right". You know testing all of the things that my mom will need to do in it. Like wheelies, Ya right!

Man Breanne and I were cracking up! I have video of him doing wheelies and almost dumping the thing over but can't get it to load. Will try again later. He still needs to solder the switch contacts in place so that it work consistanly and not cut out on him.

Breanne and Ron posing! I think they got a little Cap'n in them!

Monster wanted to say "Hi!" she was helping me with this post this morning. At least she thought she was helping!

Busy Day!

So I got off to a late start this morning (as usual) and didn't get to Liz's until 11:45 instead of the planned 10:00. Opps! This is the weekend of the Emerald Crest Annual Community yard sale and man was it a very busy day. When we arrived there were tons of people. We quickly set up our junk and got the truck out of the way. Sold a few thing made a few dollars, not bad for stuff that was on it's way to the Goodwill. Mostly it sure was great to spend the day with Liz, Carri and Gerb. It was nice to see all of the old neighbors and meet some of the new folks. The neighborhood should did look pretty good. We left there around 3:00 to head home and get to work on the garage. 1st though we had to stop at Lowes to get the wood for the scrapping tables. Of course my mom and I wanted to look around but Rons was the shopping natzi and was really getting angry that we did not clear the additional shopping agenda by him first. Typical male I came in for 1 thing get that thing shopping trip over! Sheez! I did manage to sneak in a rug and a couple of recycle bins before he totally blew his cool though!

Once we got home we got straight to work on the garage. We are cleaning out the single car side and turning it into a game/rec room so the kids (big kids too) can go out there and play to the hearts content. We made some really good progress got most of the crap cleared out, the floor cleaned and the furniture in. Tommorow we will get the Big TV and Video games moved out there as well as get the dart board up. We can actually get to the entire weight bench now instead of only 1/2 of it and the air hockey table is not filled with junk either. Will also finish the workbench side so maybe by the winter I can get my car back into the garage. That would be nice. It does look tons better. Should have seen it before the whole garage was covered in white powder looked like a flour bomb exploded in there. Ron has been refinishing a dresser and white sanding residue was EVERYWHERE. Glad to have that cleaned up. You can actually see the floor again.

Looks pretty good! Will be even better when we get it all done.

Still have to leave room for the 2 motorcycles and the tractor. Darn! Still have a bunch of stuff sitting in the driveway to get moved back in not to mention a truck load bound for the dump! Man how do we manage to accumulate all of the stuff!

Almost there! You can actually see the floor. That is a good sign.

Newbie!

Ok so this is my first ever blog. Weird writing stuff down that others may or may not ever read. So what's new today. Happy that the week is over looking forward to cleaning out the garage this weekend. (Crazi I know!) Saturday I am goiong to Liz's to help with the yard sale and then home to get the garage done. Still recovering from my surgery so I can't lift anything but I can give great direction! I'm gonna boss everyone around anyways so I might as well have a good excuse for not doing and just ordering! Most exciting thing that happend this week is I got in touch with my friend Tammy. I have been missing her for some time now and found her on line. It has been wonderful to get caught up and see how well her and her family are doing.

On a sad note: We had to put Hallie down this week. She was 12 years old and I have hade her since she was a puppy! She has pins in her hips from being run over as a puppy and as she got older she develop really bad arthritis in her hips and knees. She was doing ok on anti-inflamitory drugs but they just stopped helping her and she was always in pain. Last week she lost her bladder control and had an accident every time she got up. She was no longer enjoying her life so we felt it was best to put her at peace. We will miss her she was a wonderful freind and companion.
So that is my week in a nutshell. Not sure how to end this thing - weird. So TTFN!
