Ocean Shores

Ron and I went to Ocean Shores for a quick weekend get away. We stayed at the Shilo Inn. This is a picture of the Hotel from the beach. We got a ground floor room so we could walk outside and walk to the beach.

The weekend was really nice. The weather was sunny but a little windy. We had fun walking on the beach and site seeing around the little town. We spent a few hours at the Quinult Casino on Saturday night, left them some money and then headed back to our room to relax for the rest of our evening.

This week I got a new hair cut and lost 6 lbs! Woo-Hoo! ( I know if you are like most people you can't even tell that I got my hair cut but I did really I got my bangs back and had alot cut off)

Lazy weekend

So the weather was great this weekend so the Hubby and I went for a bike ride. The rest of the weekend was spent in my usual fashion. Tons of Laundry and lots of house cleaning. I do love it when my house sparkles though. Watched some shows we had recorded. The Long Way Down - a motorcycle trip show with Ewan Mcgregor. This show is really great and Ron and I just LOVE it. A a couple of episodes of House. Now I am making dinner and getting ready to relax and watch funny vidoes!

Oh I found this Disney web site. DISboards.com Besides it being all things Disney, which of course I LOVE, there are tons of message boards that you can read and post too. I stumbled across the trip reports section and began reading about a French women and her WDW trip. OMG!! I was freakin hooked. She is hysterical! If youhave the time it is worth the read. 1st Day of School

As is my tradition I torture the the kids every year with 1st day of school pictures. This year Breanne is a Senior and Mike is in the 7th grade.

Mike is a willing participant but Breanne HATES this tradition. Well lucky for her this is her last year (sniff). Actually I am sure I will be picture happy when I drop her at College next year too!

Camping at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park

Boy can I pick em! We were only able to get in 2 camping trips this summer and for both of those trips we got RAIN! It NEVER rains the last weeknd in August! What happened to our summer. Despite the rain we still managed to have a good time. It was cold, wet and Muddy but there were patches of sun breaks. So no time at the river but we did have some nice walks and the kids did alot of hiking. This was Ebonys first camping trip and she did pretty good. She was nervous at first not sure what we were doing but then she settled in. By the 3rd and last night she was her normal self barking at Chipmunks and bugs! Brutus being the seasoned camper dog fell right into his routine of owning the campsite. Ever on the look out for falling food. We took Ashley and Arianna who had never been camping before. They seemed to have a really good time although I wish the weather had been better so we could have played in the river. Janie and Carmen and Carmens son Logan also came. Lets hope next year we get better weather!

Senior Picture day

Today Breanne got her Senior pictures. Just the head shots for the year book. We have to go back later in the Fall for the whole senior spread. She want shots with the dogs! I took her to get her makeup done so she would not be so washed out in the photos. She NEVER wears makeup so she did not like it AT ALL. I though she looked beautiful as always. When we do the big spread she says no makeup. I talked her into letting me snap a few shots at home before she ran in to wash her face!

My exciting weekend! (Not)

So I had a fairly pleasent uneventful weekend. It rained, which we really needed, but left the air heavy and muggy. Got up eary Saturday morning and cleaned my closet and bedroom. I took the Kirby apart and cleaned it out really good. (Yes I am weird obsessive somtimes when it comes to cleaning). I had a pedicure scheduled for 10:00am so I was then off to have my tootsie's pampered. Man that was great. I really needed some ME time. While my feetsies were papmered I got to read my latest PEOPLE mag and catch up on all of the latest "news"! I actually got to read the entire mag without interuption! It was wonderful! My mom and I then went "SHOPPING"!

We first visited our new Creative Memories consultant to see what was new and what was on sale. Mom got a bunch of stuff because she is really low on supplies. I only got a Disney Pack, well because it is Disney of course and some Chritsmas stickers. I have soo much stuff at home I am trying not to buy more until I use it up.

Then we headed over to Walmart to get a few things and to look around. Lastly we had lunch at Applebee's. It was a nice afternoon with Mom!

I got home around 5:00 and Ron was waiting to go play BINGO. We had invited our Freind Liz to meet up with us at the BINGO place. We got there a little early got our cards and found a good place to sit. Liz arrived just in time to start the first game. So we talked and played and had a good time. Liz won $200! Nothing for me and Ron but for a $5 buy in it is a fairly inexpensive good time. It seemed that only one of the BINGO callers that evening spoke clear english and some of the accents were hard to decifer. It actullay sent Ron and Liz into a giggle fest! We had to look at eachother several time and say"what was that?" After Bingo we went to Stanford's for drinks and snacks. Since Ron and I are not drinking alcohol (sad) we just had soda/water. Liz however got a yummy Lavender Martini. When I can drink again I am going to get one! We spent an hour or so munching and talking and then called it a night. When we got home I watched the So you think you dance finally that I had recorded. Yay! Joshua!!! Ron fell asleep on the couch - as expected and then I dragged him off to bed.

Sunday we did Laundry, cleaned house a little and watched 2 movies. 21 and Doomesday. Both were pretty good. 21 was a really good story and Doomesday was gross and action packed. So that was it in a nutshell. Then comes Monday and back to work!

Dog Sitting!

We have been dog sitting since Thursday. My freind Ann and her husband went to Dune Fest in Oregon and were not able to take their dog Lakota with them. So I agreed to take him while they were away.

It has been fun he is a big 'Ol' goof ball of a dog. He loves the ball and wants to play all of the time. Ebony and Brutus seem to be enjoying his company too. Lakota will be going home tommorow and even though he was fun to have around I will be happy to have some sloberless peace back in my house. Not to mention less dog poo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously this is a big dog!

Since Breanne did not want a real party we just had family over for lunch and cake. I actually restrained myself and did not decorate or anything! Yes it was hard but I did it. Breanne did want a Dinosoar cake and since I could find anyone to make one I added the dino's myself!
