Day 2 - Epcot 9/14

Day to is an Epcot day with our dinner reservation at The Garden Grill Restaurant. Breanne picked this one as she remembered it from our trip when she was 4! I set my alarm for 6:00am and was up before it went off. Getting everyone else up proved to not be such an easy task. The kids were crabby and since Ron had stayed up late and had a couple of drinks the night before so he was not moving very quickly either. Mom and I were ready to go though! Here is g-ma on her scooter as we head to the Epcot entrance. Good morning Breanne!

Here we are at the opening ceremony! After the hello from the charactors we are headed staight for Test Track.

Test track was Fun Evem my mom rode it. Here are some goofballs in the queue.

After test track Ron, Bre and Mike went on Mission space. This is not my cup of tea so I sat it out with G-ma. Then we stopped to listen to the Jamminators. They were very funny!

We looked around the Land Pavillion and had lunch there. No food porn I forgot. We grabbed some Icey drinks and then we started our way around the Wold Showcase Pavillions.

It was really pretty here. Lots of loveley gardens and ponds.

We got a really light drizzle happening just as we approached Italy so g-ma decided she better cover up. It was over as quickly as it began.

Italy

G-ma started to not feel so good about this time so she opted to skip dinner and head back to the hotel. We had a 4:30 Dinner reservation at the Garden Grill so after only 1/2 of the World showcase seen we head back to the Land Pavilion for dinner. We had decided to celebrate each of the kids and my mom's birthdays while we were at the World and today was Mike day. The Garden Grill is a character meal. You are visited by Chip and Dale, Mickey and Pluto. Chip and It is also a relvolving restaraunt so that makes it pretty neat too. Dale were up first and very entertaining.

Here we are all together. Dinner is served family style. It was Flank Steak, Turkey and Catfish. Along with rolls and salad. For dessert we had this amazing Blueberry buckle was to DIE for!!!

The "kids" found the ice cube with the holes in them to be very fun to play with.

Mike got a special card and a cupcake for his Birthday celebration!

After dinner we were all stuffed, hot and pooped so we decide to catch the buss back to our resort to relax. Perhaps some swimming and sight seeing around POP!

Day 1- Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe

We had discussed skipping our dinner reservation at the Whispering Canyon Cafe because we were all so tired and burned out after the long trip and being up for almost 24 hours but after a refreshing dip in the pool we decided go ahead and head off the the Wilderness Lodge for dinner. So off to the bus we go! We have to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then a bus to the Wilderness Lodge. Here are the kids waiting at Magic Kindom for the Wilderness Lodge bus.

More of the Wilderness Lodge Lobby. It is really a spectacular place. Ron and I would like to come back and stay here.

After a short wait we are seated in the dining room and our dining experiance begins with the Hokey Pokey!!! Breanne and Mike showing us how to do it!

Then the food! Ron, Mike, my Mom and me all ordered the all you care to eat platter which comes with Corn bread...Yummy.

..and Chicken, Ribs, Brisket, beans, mashed potatos and corn on the cob! OMG! This was so much food and soo delicious! The Ribs were fantastic and the only thing that we actually got more of. Ron and Mike both had seconds on these babys.

Breanne got......A cheese burger!

And what do you need to go with your cheesburger and fries.............Ketchup of course!

At the WCC when you ask for Ketchup your server yells out "KETCHUP we need ketchup over here" and everyone who has any brings it to your table!

Of course when the next call for Ketchup goes out you must get up and run your bottles to the next needy ketchup victim.

Breanne and Mike we happy to deliver thier ketchup.

While were dining we were treated to Pony races. All the kids are invited to choose a Stick pony and race around the dining room. My kids did not want to race so I snapped a shot of other kids!

This resturaunt was a blast and the food was amazing! We were too full for dessert so we took Apple Crisp and Cheese Cake back to our room to eat later. This resturauant ended up being our favorite of the whole trip and to think we almost missed it! After dinner we shopped at the mercantile where grandma tried to take out a register display with her scooter! Ugh! Then it was back to POP and bed. We were going to get up early to make rope drop at EPCOT!

Day 1- The journey continues.

Mom rented a scooter for the week. We knew she would not be able to do all of the walking. Here she is getting her first look at her new ride and some handling lessons from Randy.


Our room was not ready yet so we hung out in the food court and waited and waitied and.........well you get the picture. We arrived at 11:30 but our room was not ready until almost 3:00! We were going to look around the resort but it was pooring! Luckily after we got to our room the rain cleared, as it does fairly quickly this time of year in Florida and we headed out for some swimming. We were all very hot and tired so it was major refreshing.

Day 1- The journey begins.

We are all so excited to get going on this trip. All packed and ready to go we head out to Janies house at 7:30pm were we will leave our car and Harry will take us to airport. We arrive at Airport check bags, no overwieght problems, whew cause I though for sure my bag was too heavy. We get mom a wheel chair and head to our gate way at the back of the new addition in the Airport. They put in moving sidewalks and the kids really enjoyed these! Got some food and got comfy until they boarded our flight.

On the plane to Atlanta. It was an uneventful but lllooooonngg flight.

Mike and Breanne on the train. We were all a little tired. Tried to sleep on the plane but it is difficult.

Just a short wait until they boarded out flight to Orlando. We got some coffee and soon were in the air again. Just alittle over an hour and we landed in Orlando. We made our way to the Disney's Magical express bus and were on our way to POP!

We're back.

Well we finally got home safe and sound (sorta). This trip certainly was not what I had hoped it would be. There were some really fun times, some really awful times, a trip to the Emergency room, major grumpy people, scooter nightmares and an unexpected overnight in Atlanta due to flooding. I am going to do a sorta "trip report" so if you are interested please follow along.
