Black Friday

We got up at 3:00 and left the house at 3:30. Made a quick stop for coffee and then to Best Buy. We got in line only to quickly learn that the item we wanted was not a ticked item and that they had plenty so since they did not open until 5:00 we headed to JCPenney's to be there when they oppend at 4:00. There were some really good deals at Penneys so we got a bunch of stuff there. Then on to Areopostale and American Eagle. Next stop Toys "R" US where we shopped in frenzy style to then wait in the worlds longest line. Seriously the line wound all aroud the entire store. No problem though we talked to some nice people while waiting. Then it was on to Walmart. After finding parking and braving our way to the back of the store we didn't find anything we wanted so we left! Ugh! Next stop.....Best Buy. Shop, shop, shop. On to Joanns, then Target the .......Breakfast! Ron was starving and really wanted a break! After we ate our last stop was at Fred Meyer 1/2 price socks ya know! So we finally made it home tired and alot poorer about 11:00! Ron went straight to bed and crashed! I wraped presents and was able to get most of them done too. I Then took a very long bath and got some reading done. Later that night Breanne and I went to see the movie Twilight and we had Dinner at Applebees. It was a really bust but nice day! The movie was really good! Breanne of course is now obsessed and has since seen the movie 3 more times as well as read the book. All in less than 2 weeks!

Tree Trimming

Sunday November 30 time to put up the tree! Arianna spent the night so she helped me trim the tree. Mike was busy playing Video games and Breanne was out seeing the movie Twilight AGAIN! Here Arianna was trying to get Ebony to help!
Arianna is the best tree trimmer EVER! She was helping me with the beads and I noticed that she was doing a better job than me so I slowly walked away and she finished them all on her own. She put most of the ornaments on the tree. I put a few on and Mike popped in for a minute to put one or two on himself.

It is not a very big tree but just perfect for us! Breanne and Mike possed last night 12/8 after we got the star on the top. Oh and Mike has a Biore pore cleasing strip on his nose! Too Funny!

Backyard Visitors

Got this quick shot off yesterday of two of our usual backyard visitors passing through. I treid to get a better picture but they were gon before I could get in a better position. There are two deer in the shot 1 just to the left of the post above the BBQ and the other just below the bug zapper.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. It was really nice to have everyone over. Unfortunatly I forgot to take pictures so there are only the few that Ron took. Here we are finishing up. Carol making Gravy, Harry carving the Turkey and Janie getting some clean up done.Mike and Arianna ready to eat!Another shot of the Kitchen activity......and that's it! No shot of the food or the rest of the festivities! Can't beleive I forgot to even get a picture of the Turkey!After we ate and and chatted for a while Carol, Harry, Janie and Arianna left. Mike also went to spend the night with G-ma and Arianna. Ron them assumed is favorite postion on the couch! Then we broke out the pictionary! Breanne is so competative! Her and Todd vs. me and my mom! Breanne and Todd won but I swear they were cheating! LOL

So after our very exciting game of pictionary we watched a little TV and then went to bed about 11:00. Ron and I were getting up at 3:00 to go SHOPPING!

Monster

Since Monster is an indoor only cat and she has decided that she must tear up everything we made the decision to have her declawed. On November 20th we took her in to the vet for the procedure. We have never had a cat declawed before and were nervous about how she would be and how it would all work out. In the end however everything went just fine and she had no problems at all. You can see in the pics that she is happily drugged and was that way for a few days.
They wrapped her feet in the cute pink and green booties! We got to take them off after 1 day and she was very happy about that. She really didn't like to walk with them on.

It has now been almost 3 weeks since the procedure and Monster is totally back to her normal self. Actually she was back to normal in just a few days but we had to keep her locked in the bedroom so she would stay calm and quiet! Now she is running around like her crazy mad self again!

Day off!

So today I took the day off of work to get a bunch of needed work done around the house. I 've been compiling a list, a very long list, of Honey do's and my honey isn't doing any of them! So I thought if I took the day off I could help motivate him. Ron's days off are wierd and this week he has Tuesday and Wednesday.


Here is part of my list. The stuff I had hoped we could get done today.

1. Convert Mike's loft bed into a regular bed.
2. Deep clean and rearrange Mike's room
3. Take down and store Air conditioners (Hello! It's November)
4. Clean and store patio furniture and cushions
5. Change/replace all burnt out light bulbs in house
6. Shampoo bedroom carpet
7. Finish last section of fence

Mind you this was just what I wanted to get done today! And as it turns out we didn't get that far.
We got an early start to things. I was up at 6:00 and litterally forced Ron out of bed at 7:30. Mike's bed conversion turned out to be a MAJOR ordeal. Plus his room was a horror! So we spent many hours in there. I did get all of the patio stuff cleaned and put away and Ron got 1 of the A/C's out of the window. It is still sitting on the floor in the front room but the window is cleaned and closed! Yippee! By 12:30 we were starving so Ron decided we needed to break for lunch and SHOPPING. When we returned Ron was dead! He had been dragging all morning but now he was completely DEAD! There was no waking him to get anything else done. Needless to say I was not very happy about this. I still had to finish Mike's room, make dinner, supervise homework, Family Game night and get everything ready for bed/work. So as Ron slept through EVERYTHING, even a very noisy game of Yahtzee the kids and I got even.

I am hoping that Ron will get more done tommorow. (I am not holding my breath thought!)

Mike's 13th Birthday

We had Mike's 13th Birthday party last night. He had about 11 kids over. We decorated the garage in a SKULLS theme. There was music and room for dancing, complete with Disco Ball and all. Video games and Air hockey. The kids had pizza, chips, little Smokeys, cupcakes and candy. I think more food was thrown or worn then actually eatin though!

The floor was slick due to all of the cupcake goo on it so the kids were sliding around on it. Kinda garage surfing!

All the kids seemd to have a good time. The garage is a total mess which Mike will get to have fun cleaning today. I think this may be the LAST party at the house. Next year I think we will destroy the local Pizza joint!

1. I like to mess up the pronunciation of words. Makes them more fun to say.
2. I am extremly claustrophobic.

More Pics from the Beach

Sunday we slept in and then headed to the beach for a bit. Good Morning! Time to go to the Beach!

We headed for home around 12:oo. We stopped by a River to look at the view.

We stopped at the Rusty Tractor, Ron's cousins resturauant in Elma around 3:00 for Lunch. It was a nice weekend. Great to just "Get away" for a couple of days alone.

Ocean Shores

Ron and I went to Ocean Shores for a quick weekend get away. We stayed at the Shilo Inn. This is a picture of the Hotel from the beach. We got a ground floor room so we could walk outside and walk to the beach.

The weekend was really nice. The weather was sunny but a little windy. We had fun walking on the beach and site seeing around the little town. We spent a few hours at the Quinult Casino on Saturday night, left them some money and then headed back to our room to relax for the rest of our evening.
